A promise from Allah: giving up something for His sake!
The Prophet, ﷺ said, “Verily, you will never leave anything for the sake of Allah Almighty but that Allah will replace it with something better.” (Ahmad)
This is a guaranteed promise 💫 from Allah! Give up something for the sake of Allah ﷻ sincerely and you will be recompense with something BETTER. “So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth.” [Qur’an 30:60]
The reward may be immediate, and it may not. Know that there is nothing Allah ﷻ has commanded us to forsake except that they are harmful. 😔
Ask yourself today what forbidden act am I doing and make a sincere intention to leave it for the sake of Allah ﷻ. It may be your
dressing, some habits and manners, your language, a job, changing your environment, cutting/ending a haram relationship, changing friends, implementing a fard (obligation).
It might be a difficult process but you have to take action, and make sincere duas 🤲 to Allah ﷻ to make it easy for you to give up things for His sake – to please and attain His pleasure. (If possible seek help – “And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.” Qur’an 5:2)
I conclude with two famous supplications of the Prophet ﷺ: YAA MUQALLIBAL QULOOB THABBIT QALBEE ‘ALAA DEENIK. “Oh turner of the hearts keep our hearts firm on your religion” and YA MUSSARIFAL QULUB SARRIF QALBI ALA TA’ATIK “O Director of Hearts, direct my heart to your good deeds”. The first dua is to maintain your heart upon the right path and turning from sins. While the second is that Allah ﷻ direct your heart to good deeds – to what is pleasing to Him!
May Almighty Allah ﷻ make our hearts ♥️❤💚💜🧡💙 steadfast in adhering to the straight path. 🛣
