REMINDERS FROM THE PROPHETS AND PIOUS PREDECESSORS TO KEEP YOU STEADFAST UPON THE DEEN.
“Those are the ones whom Allah has guided, so from their guidance take an example.” [al-An’am (6):90]
Islam is a way of life. Many Muslim know this phrase on top of their head, but the question I and You need to consider is whether we live our life in accordance with Islam?
Islam has been practiced by many pious predecessors before us. We have the Prophets, Sahabas and other pious predecessors to look up to. We have from them the best of manners – to emulate them. To aspire to be like them. In essence they are our ROLE MODELS who we should look up to.
Ibn al-Jawzi rahimullah in His book Captured Thoughts exemplifies the importance of learning about the stories of the Prophets and Sahabas. He said:
The aims of this platform is to disseminate reflective pieces.
To make you contemplate.
To enable you understand how people react to situations.
To remind you to be patient as demonstrated by all Prophets.
To produce inspirational contents from the lives of the pious predecessors.
To share #TrueLifeStories.
To educate, enlighten and serve as a reminder to become better and practicing Muslims.
To strive to live a life of fi sabilillah – Live for Allāh! Living life as a journey from Allāh to Allāh.
Life comes with different facets /angle. And that is the nature of life – a trial “And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.) we will test you with … give glad tidings to the patient” (Qur’an 2: 155)
Steps will be taken to ensure that references are provided whenever a verse in the Qur’an, an Hadith or another source is referred to.
